Trev Alberts is a prominent figure in the world of American college athletics, both as a former player and an administrator. Born on August 8, 1970, in Cedar Falls, Iowa, he is best known for his time as a linebacker for the University of Nebraska football team. Alberts was a standout player and achieved significant recognition for his performance on the field. In 1993, he won the prestigious Butkus Award, given annually to the nation’s top college linebacker, and earned consensus All-American honors.

Following his college career, Alberts was selected in the first round of the 1994 NFL Draft by the Indianapolis Colts, where he played for three seasons. His professional career, however, was plagued by injuries, leading to an early retirement from the NFL.
